Latham & Watkins Litigation Department Earns High Rankings for "Bet-the-Company" US Litigation
Latham & Watkins earned top tier rankings in the Euromoney Institutional Investor Benchmark Litigation 2010 guide at the US national, state and practice levels. The guide particularly recognized the firm's antitrust, appellate, bankruptcy, general commercial, intellectual property, international arbitration, securities and white collar practice groups. The guide noted that the firm has "a very deep bench and a lot of talented litigators" and it "has been attracting increasingly high-profile clients." Benchmark Litigation surveys the US business and legal communities on firms and attorneys that are capable of handling complex cases, and the coverage quoted an attorney at a competitor firm who has encountered several of Latham’s litigators in different capacities and in different geographic regions as stating: "With a firm that big, it’s impressive to be as good as they are all across the board." At the state level, the guide gave strong recommendations to the firm's litigation practices in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Washington, D.C.
