Experience

Sarah Ray is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins with experience in complex litigation matters in federal and state courts, as well as private arbitration. Ms. Ray is a member of the firm's Antitrust and Global Competition practice group, International practice group and the Export Controls and Economic Sanctions practice group. Her antitrust practice focuses on complex antitrust litigation, government conduct investigations, merger reviews and counseling, while her international practice focuses on international arbitration and dispute resolution. Ms. Ray also has an active export controls practice focusing on investigations, enforcement proceedings and counseling clients regarding compliance with OFAC regulations and other US sanctions laws.

Ms. Ray clerked for the Honorable Vaughn R. Walker, Chief Judge of the Northern District of California and the Honorable Samuel Conti, Senior District Judge of the Northern District of California.

Ms. Ray's publications include Domesticating International Obligations: How to Ensure Compliance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, 91 Cal. L. Rev. 6 (2003).
