Quebecor World Inc. and its affiliated debtors and debtors-in-possession announced that they have successfully emerged from protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada ("CCAA") and Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code. Montreal-based Quebecor is the second largest printing company in North America, printing catalogues, books and major magazine titles in 90 locations throughout North and South America. The reorganization and restructuring plans include the successful closing of $800 million exit financing facilities, making this one of the largest cross-border insolvency cases in 2009.
