The BTI Consulting Group’s 2011 Litigation Outlook report names Latham & Watkins as one of the leading litigation firms in the United States. BTI named Latham to its exclusive “Fearsome Foursome” list — one of only four firms that “clients most fear and the ones they would least like to see on the other side of the courtroom.” In naming Latham to the prestigious list, BTI noted the firm's formidable depth of experience, tenacity and agility. BTI added: “Clients are impressed by Latham's adaptability to changes and ability to anticipate change — all benefitting their clients. In addition, corporate counsel noted Latham’s strategic use of size — using force as a deterrent, and deploying when needed.” BTI research shows the "Fearsome Foursome" sets the standard for being strategic, innovative and creative while bringing unmatched drive. These firms have “positioned themselves with the world’s most demanding companies as the ones corporate counsel would most like to have by their side in head-to-head competition."
According to Michael B. Rynowecer, BTI president, "Corporate counsel comment on Latham as one of the few firms that just knows how to win. It's in their blood. Latham dives into client's needs, develops a deep understanding of their client's goal, and finds ways to meet that goal with no excuses along the way. This is high praise by any measure."
In addition, Latham’s securities litigation practice was honored as a “Securities Litigation Standout” firm as one of the “best players in the game.” The report is based on a survey of 240 general counsel and in-house litigation heads.
