January 01, 2008

Latham was awarded an honorable mention in the 2008 issue of The American Lawyer's biennial "Litigation Department of the Year" survey. The award noted Latham’s "brilliant appellate record," as well as the firm’s "thriving" international practice, calling Latham "a firm of choice for clients with multinational problems." Latham is one of the few litigation departments recognized in each of the past three "Litigation Department of the Year" surveys, consistently receiving praise from The American Lawyer for the firm's global capabilities and broad range of litigation practice areas. Latham is the only firm to have been named a finalist in both the 2004 and 2006 surveys. Citing Latham's "success in a broad range of practice areas," The American Lawyer noted that, "with clever hires and global ambition, Latham built a global powerhouse."
