Latham & Watkins was the recipient of four awards at the 2011 Asian Legal Business (ALB) South East Asia Law Awards in Singapore.
- The firm was named "Energy & Natural Resources Law Firm of the Year" for the second consecutive year, recognizing Latham & Watkins’ market leadership in advancing a range of initiatives for industry-leading regional and global clients.
- Latham's energy finance work in Asia includes advising on the Hongsa Mine-Mouth Power Project in Laos, which won "Project Finance Deal of the Year," as well as the prominent "South East Asia Deal of the Year" award.
- Latham lawyers advised the lenders on a US$2.7 billion debt facility for the Hongsa project, which is the largest power financing ever in Laos and the largest project loan ever raised exclusively in the Thai bank market.
- Latham also advised the underwriters to ALB's “Debt Capital Markets Deal of the Year,” a US$1 billion bond offering by ICICI Bank, which was the first senior US dollar deal with a 10-year maturity to be issued by an Indian bank.
