Mr. Winik retired from the partnership in December 2016 after more than 36 years of continuous practice at the firm. Over the course of his tenure, he enjoyed a broad and varied complex commercial litigation and government investigations practice. Mr. Winik tried cases in state and federal courts around the country and before arbitration panels and administrative agencies as well as handled appeals in numerous federal circuit and state appellate courts. He also represented clients before numerous federal agencies, including the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Federal Trade Commission, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Mr. Winik also served in a number of senior leadership positions at the firm, including Deputy Managing Partner of the Washington. D.C., office, Global Co-Chair of the Firm’s Product Liability, Mass Torts & Consumer Class Actions Practice, Chair of the Washington, D.C., Litigation & Trial Department, and Global Pricing Officer.

In retirement Mr. Winik has been active in community service, serving as Board Chair of Ingenuity Prep Public Charter School, a member of the boards of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Union for Reform Judaism, and President of Wintergreen Performing Arts.
