Chambers has crowned Latham & Watkins 2012 “Banking & Finance Law Firm of the Year” in its inaugural Chambers Global Online Awards, which coincide with the launch of the Chambers Global guide.
Chambers said: “[Latham’s] hard work in the finance sector has paid tremendous dividends; it is taking centre stage in the global market.” Latham is also hailed for the strength of its Middle East and high yield practices, with Chambers noting: “Its drive in the Middle East has resulted in widespread recognition in this increasingly important market. In addition, Latham & Watkins' capital markets strengths, in the high-yield sector, are also bearing fruit.”
The Chambers global awards are based on research for the Chambers Global guide. The awards “honour outstanding law firms and legal professionals around the world”, and “reflect both pre-eminence in key practice areas and achievements over the last 12 months, including notable work, strategic growth, excellence in client service, and contribution to the legal profession.”
