Christian Jahn is a partner in the Finance Department in the Munich office. His broad practice includes acquisition finance, syndicated corporate loans, real estate finance and restructurings. He has advised German and international banks and investors on complex financings and restructurings of cross-border acquisitions and cross-over corporate loans and counsels clients on the financing aspects of private equity and other M&A transactions.

He completed the Second German State Exam at Nuremberg’s Higher Regional Court in 2003 and the First German State Exam at the University of Passau in 2001. In addition to his legal education in Germany, Mr. Jahn studied Chinese (Mandarin) and Chinese law at the University of Nanjing.

He has published several articles on Chinese law and is a member of the German-Chinese Lawyers’ Association (DCJV). 

 Mr. Jahn's experience includes advising:

  • Commerzbank AG, ING Bank N.V., NIBC Bank N.V. and UniCredit Bank AG as Mandated Lead Arrangers on the financing of the acquisition of Cordenka GmbH by Chequers Capital
  • Webasto AG on the syndicated loan for, inter alia, the financing of the acquisition of Edscha Cabrio-Dachsysteme GmbH
  • Albert Ballin GmbH & Co. KG, the Hamburg-based consortium, and further investor groups on the financing of the acquisition of the global container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd AG from TUI AG
  • Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) on the financing of the acquisition of Helmut Klingel GmbH by funds advised by Odewald KMU Gesellschaft für Beteiligung mbH
