PROFILE

Paul Sheridan represents companies and private equity firms in high-stakes transactions and corporate matters. He serves as Latham’s Global Chair of Private Capital, which encompasses all liquid and illiquid asset classes, including the firm's direct lending, restructuring, private equity, private equity finance, real estate, energy and infrastructure, fund formation, and structured credit practices. He has served multiple terms on the firm’s Executive Committee; as Chair of the Income Partner & Counsel Committee; and as Global Chair of the Private Equity Practice. 

Paul leverages trusted relationships across the private capital ecosystem and his comprehensive understanding of sophisticated investment strategies to help clients navigate:

  • Mergers and acquisitions, with extensive experience on complex cross-border transactions

Paul maintains an active pro bono practice, including advising the Center for New American Security, a bipartisan national security think tank, for more than a decade. He also serves as a trustee of the Potomac School in McLean, Virginia.

Paul served as a law clerk to Judge James C. Cacheris, Chief Judge of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
