Sarah Mitchell’s practice focuses on high-stakes, complex litigation and business disputes. Sarah has represented defendants and plaintiffs in trade secrets, employment, unfair competition, fraud, breach of contract, and environmental matters. Her clients include major players in sports and entertainment, developers of large-scale construction projects, and technology, consumer products, and insurance companies. She has experience in state and federal trial courts, and in arbitration, arguing dispositive motions, drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, conducting investigations, and managing discovery efforts.
Sarah previously served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Milan D. Smith, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. While in law school, she served as a senior editor of the Virginia Law Review, competed as a member of the University of Virginia Moot Court Team, and served as a judicial extern to Judge Stephen V. Wilson of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Prior to law school, Sarah received an MA in English and Comparative Literature and taught college English Composition courses.
