PROFILE
Anna-Maria Kuckerz advises clients on all aspects of finance transactions, particularly acquisition financing and real estate financing with a Germany nexus.
Anna-Maria draws on a commercial mindset and trusted relationships with German and international banks, investors, and corporations to guide both lenders and borrowers on:
- Acquisition finance
- Real estate finance
- Debt restructuring matters
- General corporate lending
She understands the nuances of her clients’ businesses within the context of evolving market conditions and crafts pragmatic solutions that allow parties to efficiently close transactions.
Anna-Maria received her legal training in Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany, lending an international perspective to how she negotiates complex financing transactions globally.
She has served on the firm’s Recruiting Committee, and her pro bono practice includes working on a European overview of children’s rights through a London-based UNICEF initiative.
Before joining Latham, Anna-Maria worked as a research assistant in another international law firm’s corporate department in Hamburg and at the Department of International Law/Space Law at the University of Vienna. Reflecting her entrepreneurial know-how, she was involved in the start and growth of an Austrian company for several years.

- AGC Equity Partners on a mezzanine loan to acquire the Squaire at Frankfurt airport and parking area
- Apollo in the €1 billion investment in the Suedewo Portfolio (residential real estate portfolio controlled by Vonovia)
- Azure Investments on financing and refinancing various hotel portfolios
- HanseMerkur Grundvermögen on acquiring a real estate portfolio comprising 34 office and retail properties in Germany and Austria from Austrian real estate group Conwert, as well as on acquiring project developments
- Harting on acquiring Studer Cables
- Hellmann Worldwide Logistics on extending its existing consortium financing
- Madison International Realty on refinancing and stabilizing a portfolio of shopping centers, with simultaneous the sale of a shopping center in Dresden
- Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund and Redos Real Estate on acquiring and financing a number of real estate portfolios
- Primevest Capital Partners (formerly Bouwfonds) on financing and refinancing the acquisition of car parks in Europe
- LEONI group on its restructuring
