PROFILE
Alice Drayton is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ London office. She advises clients on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and general corporate matters.
Prior to qualification, Alice trained in the firm’s London and Boston offices, where she gained experience in corporate, banking, and investment funds.
EXPERIENCE
Alice’s experience includes advising:
- TPG Growth on its minority investment in Airtel Money
- Hellman & Friedman on the c. €15 billion GP led secondary / fund to fund transfer of its controlling interest in the Verisure Securities Direct group
- The senior creditors committee in relation to the c.£200 million debt and equity restructuring of FatFace, a UK-headquartered apparel retail business
- Helios Investment Partners, TA Associates, and minority shareholders on the sale of a significant minority stake in Interswitch to Visa; Interswitch, headquartered in Nigeria, is one of the largest Africa-focused digital payments providers
- TA Associates on the acquisition of a minority interest in Interswitch, an Africa-focused integrated digital payments and commerce company
- The Carlyle Group, on the acquisition of Reach Holdings by Acosta, one of its portfolio companies
- Catterton Partners in connection with its combination with L Capital and L Real Estate, the private equity operations of LVMH and Groupe Arnault to form L Catterton, a new consumer-focused private equity firm
- Permira on the acquisition of the Corin Orthopaedics and the bolt-on acquisitions of Global Orthopaedic Technology and OMNI Orthopaedics Inc
- Funds advised by Triton and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) (the Consortium) on the acquisition of IFCO, a unit of Australian Securities Exchange-listed Brambles Limited
- Equistone Partners Europe Limited on their acquisition of Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services (“MAKS”) from US listed Moody’s Corporation
- Hellman & Friedman on the disposal of minority interests in the Verisure Securitas Direct group to GIC and Corporación Financiera Alba
