PROFILE
Marino Aineto is an associate in the Corporate Department in the Madrid office of Latham & Watkins.
He advises national and international clients from different industries on general corporate and contractual matters, corporate reorganizations, and strategic alliances, and provides day-to-day advice on Spanish corporate and commercial regulations.
He focuses on domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity transactions, restructuring processes, and corporate finance transactions.
Prior to joining Latham, Marino worked in the corporate and finance department of a well-known international British law firm and interned in the State Attorney Office as well as in a well-known Spanish law firm.
EXPERIENCE
Marino´s experience includes advising:
- Partners Group in the sale of its stake in Softonic, a Spain-based operator of a software downloading website
- Platinum Equity in the acquisition of Urbaser, one of the world’s largest providers of environmental services, from China Tianying Inc. for an enterprise value of approximately €3.5 billion
- Partners Group in the creation of a joint venture with Dunas Capital to invest in real estate assets in Spain
- Danish listed company Demant A/S in the acquisition of the audiology, electro-medicine, and otolaryngology business of Audifon, a Spanish leading audiology group
- RIC Energy in the sale of a 1 GW Solar PV greenfield portfolio to Lightsource BP
- Cerner Corporation on the sale of its Spanish healthcare information services business unit to CompuGroup Medical
- Telefónica Centroamérica Inversiones, a subsidiary of Telefónica, in the sale of Telefónica Móviles Guatemala and Telefónica Móviles El Salvador to América Móvil
- IFM Global Infrastructure Fund in the acquisition of OHL Concesiones, a Spain-based company engaged in the development, operations, and management of toll roads, ports, railways, airports, and concessions in Spain, and Central and South America
- Ardian in the sale of a majority stake in Trescal, a France-based provider of calibration, asset management, and measurement services, to OMERS Private Equity
- Bain Capital Private Equity in the acquisition of a majority stake in Fedrigoni, an Italy-based manufacturer and seller of paper, film, self-adhesive, and related products
- Teladoc in the acquisition of Advance Medical, a provider of telehealth services
- L Catterton in the acquisition of an 80% stake in Goiko Grill, a fast-casual restaurant chain headquartered in Madrid
