PROFILE

Devdeep Ghosh is an associate in the Corporate department of Latham & Watkins’ London office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (particularly in the energy and infrastructure sector), private equity, joint ventures and general corporate matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Devdeep was an associate in the corporate team at a Magic Circle firm and spent time on secondment to the firm’s Abu Dhabi office.

Devdeep’s representative transactions include advising:

  • Igneo Infrastructure Partners on:
    • Its acquisition of the UK division of Wheelabrator Technologies Holdings, a waste-to-energy business in the UK
    • Its acquisition of SSE’s 50% stakes in Multifuel Energy Limited and Multifuel Energy 2 Limited, including two operational energy-from-waste plants and one plant which is under development
    • Its sale of a significant minority interest in Finerge, a leading Iberian renewables business, to AXA  
  • A final stage bidder on its bid for Westburton Power Plant
  • A final stage bidder consortium on their proposed acquisition of Cory Riverside Energy*
  • Imerys on the sale of its high temperature solutions business
  • Platinum Equity on its proposed acquisition of an equipment supplier to offshore oil & gas and renewables companies 
  • APG on its acquisition of an indirect interest in Alpha Trains*
  • InfraRed, Equitix and the National Pensions Service of Korea on their acquisition of High Speed 1*
  • JP Morgan Infrastructure Investments Fund on its acquisition of Beacon Rail Lux Holdings*
