Brad Baglien is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins. Brad is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department and practices in the areas of data privacy, complex commercial litigation, consumer protection, and cybersecurity.
Brad represents public and private technology companies in complex commercial and class action litigation in both state and federal courts involving data privacy, consumer protection, and commercial contract disputes. He also frequently represents companies in regulatory investigations and inquiries by the Federal Trade Commission, EU data protection authorities, and other US and global government regulators, agencies, and bodies.
Brad is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and counsels technology clients on privacy and Internet issues, including compliance with: CCPA, FTC requirements, GDPR, TCPA, COPPA, ECPA and wiretap issues, behavioral advertising and social media, data collection, and security incidents.
Additionally, he has significant experience representing technology clients in patent and trade secret disputes.
Brad maintains an active pro bono practice. He has successfully represented victims of criminal activity in immigration and humanitarian parole proceedings, assisted veterans with disabilities in Virginia proceedings and appeals, and is a volunteer attorney for the guardian ad litem program with the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project.
