María Concepción Olivera is a special legal consultant in the Washington D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice. Maria advises market-leading public and private companies on the full spectrum of complex capital markets transactions. 

Maria leverages a commercial mindset and comprehensive understanding of the debt and equity capital markets to advise clients on:

  • Initial public offerings (IPO) and follow-on offerings
  • Mergers and acquisitions, particularly de-SPAC transaction
  • Private debt-and equity-linked offerings
  • Liability management transactions, including restructurings, tender offers, exchange offers, and consent solicitations
  • Corporate governance and other general corporate matters

Her native-language Spanish skills, combined with her law degree obtained from a Spanish-speaking jurisdiction and her admission to practice in the US, makes her a great cultural fit for Latin American clients.

  • Amphenol Corp, one of the world’s largest designers, manufacturers and marketers of electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors and interconnect systems, in its senior notes offering.
  • Vertex, Inc., a global provider of tax technology solutions, in its secondary public offering of common stock.

  • Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc., the world’s largest McDonald’s franchisee, operating the largest quick service restaurant chain in Latin America and the Caribbean, in senior notes offering.*
  • Industrias Peñoles, S.A.B. de C.V., a leading mining company in Mexico, in senior notes offering.*
