David Rao is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins, and is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

David advises clients on real estate transactional matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and financing, and other sophisticated real estate transactions across office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, multifamily, and single-family assets.

David maintains an active pro bono practice. On behalf of his client who was seeking service-connected benefits, David achieved a favorable outcome on appeal to the Board of Veterans Appeals.

During law school, David was a judicial extern for Judge Thomas J. Whelan in the US District Court, Southern District of California.
