PROFILE

Brian Baloun is a Mergers & Acquisitions associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins and regularly represents corporate and private equity clients in complex domestic and cross-border public and private M&A transactions.

Brian advises global companies in the full spectrum of M&A matters, including going-private transactions, divisional carve-out transactions, and other domestic and cross-border strategic business combinations.

  • US$1.4 billion sale of Hersha Hospitality Trust, an owner of luxury and lifestyle hotels in coastal gateway and resort markets, to KSL Capital Partners, LLC
  • US$1.35 billion sale of Imago BioSciences, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing medicines for the treatment of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) and other bone marrow diseases, to Merck
