PROFILE
Jason “Jase” Burner is an associate in the Austin office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Emerging Companies Practices.
Jase represents public and private companies, including strategic and financial investors, in connections with domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, carve-outs, reorganizations, and general corporate matters. Additionally, Jase also works with emerging companies and investors in the founding, funding, and operation of emerging companies.
He advises clients on a variety of transactions within the technology, consumer products, healthcare, aerospace, and media industries.
Jase maintains an active pro bono practice, representing artists and arts organization in the Austin community as a member of Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts.
Jase serves on the Board of Directors of the Austin Sunshine Camps and the St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Alumni Association.
Prior to joining Latham, Jase was a corporate associate for another leading international law firm.

- A major mid-market private equity firm in its US$148M acquisition of a winery*
- A financial investor in its US$100M acquisition of an international consumer products company*
- A financial investor in its US$90M acquisition of a visual special effects company*
- A medical device company in its US$60M merger with a financial investor*
