Andrew Abokhair is an associate in the Austin office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Data & Technology Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Emerging Companies Practices.
Andrew represents clients in a broad range of intellectual property and privacy and data security matters, including strategic alliances, joint ventures, M&A and financing transactions, intellectual property strategy, and other commercial arrangements, as well as privacy and data initiatives.
He advises both public and private companies of all sizes, ranging from technology start-ups to established private equity funds.
Andrew earned his JD from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he graduated as an Honor Scholar.
Prior to joining Latham, Andrew was a technology and intellectual property transactions associate for another leading international law firm.

- A private equity infrastructure investor in the take private of a global data center REIT for approximately US$15 billion
- Various consumer products companies in connection with their manufacture, distribution, and fundraising activities
- A medical device manufacturer in its US$600 million carve-out acquisition of a dental device line of business
- A consumer entertainment and retail company on its US$835M acquisition of a multinational competitor
- A financial investor in its US$100 million Series C investment in a technology enabled healthcare staffing company
- A telecommunications device manufacturer in its acquisition of exclusive rights to global telecommunications branding and technology
- A venture capital investor in its US$100 million preferred equity investment round in a renewable energy solutions provider
