Financial Services Transactions
- Transaction counsel on the formation and capital raise of large reinsurance and insurance companies, including:
- Ruby Re, a Missouri-based reinsurance vehicle (sponsored by Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated)
- Monarch Point Re, a Bermuda-based collateralized insurer (backed by Stone Point and AXIS) (approximately US$400 million in capital raised)
- A Bermuda-based permanent capital vehicle with an underlying asset involving peer-to-peer lending (approximately US$1 billion of capital raised) (backed by a leading insurance-focused asset manager)*
- Premia Re, a startup reinsurer dedicated to runoff (US$510 million of capital raised) (backed by Kelso & Company and Arch Capital Group)*
- Harrington Reinsurance Holdings Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary Harrington Re Ltd., a Bermuda-based reinsurer (US$600 million of capital raised) (sponsored by AXIS Capital and Blackstone)*
- Fidelis Insurance Holdings Limited, a newly created specialty insurance and reinsurance company based in Bermuda (US$1.5 billion capital raised)*
