PROFILE
Luke Ali Budiardjo is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.
His practice focuses on litigation, appeals, and counseling, with a particular emphasis on advising clients on copyright law and other intellectual property issues. Luke has experience litigating cases in federal and state courts and before arbitration tribunals, and has served as a lead associate in two trials and the lead brief-writer in several high-profile disputes at the trial and appellate level.
Luke also regularly counsels clients on issues relating to artificial intelligence, and maintains an active and varied pro bono practice, ranging from immigration proceedings to impact litigation.
Prior to joining Latham, Luke was a litigation associate at another international law firm. He also served as a law clerk to Judge Pierre N. Leval of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Luke has also published several articles with Professor Jane C. Ginsburg of Columbia Law School relating to copyright law, including one article on artificial intelligence published in the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
