PROFILE
Simba Gonondo is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins.
Simba represents lenders, financial institutions, underwriting banks, investors, and corporate borrowers on a broad range of cross-border leveraged finance transactions.
He advises clients on a variety of transactions across the syndicated loan and private credit markets, and is experienced in a wide spectrum of financing products across the capital structure, including term loan B facilities, first lien / second lien facilities, Holdco PIK facilities, unitranche facilities, and bank/bond transactions.
Simba spent time on secondment to the Leveraged Debt Capital Markets team of Deutsche Bank in 2022.
EXPERIENCE
Simba’s experience includes advising:
- The arrangers in connection with Vallourec S.A.’s offering of Senior Notes due 2032 in an aggregate principal amount of US$820 million and the entry into a new 5-year €550 million multi-currency revolving credit facility
- The lenders on the successful refinancing of the existing term loan indebtedness and an additional capital raise to simultaneously fund an acquisition for Miss Group AB, a portfolio company of Perwyn Advisors UK Ltd
- The arrangers in the issuance of €525 million senior secured floating rate notes due 2029 and the entry into an €85 million revolving credit facility by La Doria S.p.A., a leading European supplier of Italian shelf-stable private label products, including, amongst others, tomatoes, ready-to-use sauces, and canned pulses. The offering represents the debut issuance of La Doria following the take-private by Investindustrial in 2022
- The banks led by Deutsche Bank and composed of IMI — Intesa Sanpaolo, BNP PARIBAS, Crédit Agricole CIB, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs International, UBS Investment Bank, and UniCredit, in the issuance of €125 million senior secured floating rate notes due 2029 and the fungible upsize of the existing revolving credit facility by La Doria S.p.A., a leading European supplier of Italian shelf-stable private label products, including, amongst others, tomatoes, ready-to-use sauces, and canned pulses. The offering represents the second issuance of La Doria in 2024, following the take-private by Investindustrial in 2022
