Raymond B. Grochowski

Retired Partner

Raymond B. Grochowski retired from the partnership in January 2012. He represented public and private entities in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial agreements. He worked extensively in the energy sector, advising both strategic and private equity clients on acquisitions, sales, and development of power generation and distribution businesses and related infrastructure. Mr. Grochowski’s practice encompassed fossil fuel-based projects as well as those employing renewable resources, and included facilities both in the US and abroad. In addition, he advised emerging technology, Internet, and media companies on transactions and regulatory matters, and worked extensively with clients in other manufacturing and service fields.

Prior to coming to Latham & Watkins, Mr. Grochowski served for eight years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy, and worked as a senior analyst and program manager for companies consulting to the Department of Defense on logistics support for new weapon systems. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Grochowski worked at the law firm of Dunaway & Cross in Washington, D.C.
