Latham & Watkins LLP advised the syndicate of 29 banks on a €2.5 billion syndicated revolving credit facility for Deutsche Lufthansa AG. The new credit line has a term of five years plus two one-year extension options ("5+1+1" years).
HSBC Continental Europe S.A., Germany, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, and UniCredit Bank GmbH acted as Coordinating Bookrunners and Mandated Lead Arrangers for the transaction.
The Latham team was led by Frankfurt partner Alexandra Hagelüken with Frankfurt associate Martina Eisgruber. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Munich partner Ulf Kieker.
