Antitrust Practice Again Chosen as “Litigation Department of the Year” in California

April 27, 2015

Latham's Antitrust practice honored for second year in a row per the team's prowess during trial and in government investigations.

For the second straight time, Latham's Global Antitrust & Competition practice group has been selected as the leading antitrust practice in California in the 2015 “Litigation Department of the Year” awards presented by The Recorder, the California-based publication of The American Lawyer. The prior award was given in December 2013.

The 2015 coverage cited Latham’s prowess at trial and in government investigations, including the firm’s successful defense of clients in a pair of antitrust cases targeting the makers of optical disk drives and in a government enforcement action in the propane gas industry.

The firm also was named the top overall litigation department in California, as well as the leading firm for White Collar litigation. The awards focused on outcomes in client matters during the 18 months ending December 31, 2014 that were led by California-based lawyers and involved “creativity, cunning and brute force.”
