Jamie Wine Honored at NOW "Women of Power & Influence Awards"
The National Organization for Women (NOW) has named Jamie Wine, a litigation partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins, as a 2015 Honoree in their "Women of Power & Influence Awards." The awards recognize “exemplary women who have excelled in their careers and are blazing new paths for the next generation of women leaders to follow.” Wine was named an Honoree for her outstanding achievements in the practice of law. She joins an esteemed group of women leaders who have won the award from the worlds of business, academia and politics, including activist Gloria Steinem, SEC Chairwoman Mary Jo White, and designer Nicole Miller.
“Jamie personifies what it means to be an inspiration to women who break the glass ceiling and advance to the highest levels in the workplace and in their field,” said Sonia Ossorio, President of the National Organization for Women New York City. “Our honorees are outstanding role models who empower and inspire women to achieve great things. Jamie is a talented leader whose distinguished career has been defined by extraordinary drive, courage and integrity.”
“I am honored to receive this award. NOW represents women being able to fulfill their potential, to have a level playing field – and I have benefited from that, so this award is particularly meaningful,” said Wine. “Just like the trailblazing women before me, I hope that I can show younger professional women that they can fulfill their potential and achieve their goals, whatever they are.”
