Italy Team Named “Equity Capital Markets Firm of the Year”

Legalcommunity named Latham & Watkins “Equity Capital Markets Firm of the Year” at its 2016 Corporate M&A Awards, which honors exemplary legal advocacy by firms located in Italy. Legalcommunity noted that clients praise “the international scope of the practice and the responsiveness and accuracy of [Latham & Watkins’] team.” Latham was also honored for advising on the “Corporate M&A Deal of the Year,” which went to China National Chemical Corporation's take-private acquisition of Pirelli & C. S.p.A., an international tire manufacturer headquartered in Italy, and the related acquisition debt financing. According to Legalcommunity, “this €8 billion deal was the most important and complex transaction in the market in 2015.”
