Latham Ranked Among Top Five International Law Firms in Latin America and #1 for Energy

Latham & Watkins is proud to be recognized as one of the top five international law firms in Latin America on Latinvex’s 2017 “Top Law Firms” list. The firm is also ranked by Latinvex as #1 for energy work in the region and earned additional rankings for corporate/M&A, project finance, capital markets, arbitration, and banking/finance.

Rankings are based on a combination of factors, including value, prominence and scope of work in the region between July 2016 and July 2017 and references among clients and peers, according to Latinvex.

Most recently, members of Latham’s Latin America Practice advised Vista Oil & Gas in its US$650 million initial public offering. Vista was the first-ever SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) IPO in Latin America and the first energy and production-focused oil and gas company to list in Mexico. In 2016, Latham advised IEnova on its US$1.6 billion follow-on offering, the largest equity sale in Latin America in 2016, and prior to that, in 2013, advised IEnova on its US$598 million initial share sale, the first energy IPO in Mexico.
