New York Litigation & Trial Partner Named Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer

The National Law Journal (NLJ) has named New York Litigation & Trial partner Serrin Turner to its Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazers list. The list features individuals, “who have helped make a difference in the fight against criminal cyberactivity and towards adding much needed layers of data security in an increasingly digital world of commerce.” 

Prior to joining Latham, Turner served for six years as an Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he served as the office’s lead cybercrime prosecutor. He is recognized by NLJ for being at the forefront of high-profile cybercrime cases that have encompassed a broad range of cyber threats including data breaches, corporate espionage, dark markets, online fraud, credit card trafficking, and money laundering through digital currencies. 

Turner believes that cybercrime will continue to grow in ways we haven’t imagined yet. “The cybercriminal economy has matured," he says, “and criminals are collaborating internationally like they never have before.”
