Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Recognizes Latham Lawyers

San Francisco associates Cameron Clark and Nicole Valco and Silicon Valley associate Steven Madrid were honored recently with the Robert G. Sproul Jr. Award, from the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area. This award recognizes the provision of legal services to under-represented communities and the marshalling of firm resources to defend the rights of the disenfranchised. Our firm and the three associates, in particular, were praised for their contributions to LCCR, as well as their work staffing the GLIDE Unconditional Legal Service Clinic. At this weekly clinic, anyone in the community can receive free legal assistance, ask questions, devise action plans, get help writing documents, or receive referrals to partnering community organizations for more in-depth assistance.
