January 23, 2019
Daily Journal
Michael Rubin recognized for guiding innovative clients in high-stakes cases and government investigations.

Latham & Watkins litigation & trial partner Michael Rubin has been named by the Daily Journal to a select group of lawyers honored in the legal publication as Top Cyber/Artificial Intelligence Lawyers in California.

A leader of the firm’s Data Privacy & Security practice, Rubin focuses on the defense of complex privacy, security, and consumer class action litigation and sensitive regulatory investigations on behalf of emerging companies and global market leaders. He also provides strategic counsel and guidance.

Rubin was recognized by the Daily Journal for recent successes advising clients in “data privacy class actions and regulatory defense in high states cases and government investigations.” His published profile cited Rubin’s counsel to a leading ad tech company in the dismissal of a long-running case involving targeted identifiers known as “super cookies,” as well as his successful defense of a noted technology company against allegations related to its core identity protection service. His selection as a Top Cyber Lawyer follows the inclusion of Latham IP partners Perry Viscounty and Jennifer Barry in the inaugural list published in 2018 by the Daily Journal.

Rubin is also a member of the firm’s White Collar Defense & Investigations and the Complex Commercial Litigation practices.
