Chicago Associate Honored With Pro Bono Award

During the Chicago Legal Clinic’s annual Fundraising Dinner and Awards Program, entitled "A Justice Social," Litigation & Trial associate Lauren Sharkey was honored with the organization’s Pro Bono Partnership Award for her work supporting the Blank Slate Records Program. 

Chicago Legal Clinic is a premier provider of low-cost legal aid in the Chicagoland area. As part of the Blank Slate Records Program, attorneys assess each applicant’s eligibility for criminal records relief, notify the applicant, and in appropriate cases, provide full representation on a sliding scale for pardon, sealing, expungement, and other relief. Through the Expungement and Sealing Live Call Project, the program provides in-court assistance to pro se individuals seeking to expunge or seal their criminal records.
