New York Partners Named Among Eight Must-Know Deal Lawyers Advising Private Equity Firms

New York partners Paul Kukish and Justin Hamill, both members of Latham’s market-leading Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practices, have been named to Business Insider’s list of Eight Must-Know Deal Lawyers Advising Private Equity Firms. The publication describes the featured lawyers as the “foundation of people-talent who will likely lead the private equity legal profession in the years to come” and “deal lawyers to watch in 2020 and beyond.”

Paul Kukish, who serves as Global Vice Chair of the firm’s Corporate Department, advises many of the world’s most prominent private equity firms and their portfolio companies on a range of M&A transactions. He has a particular focus on deals involving the consumer/retail, energy, and industrials sectors. Business Insider highlights Kukish’s extensive work for Leonard Green & Partners (LGP), including representing LGP and Authentic Brands Group in a strategic investment by BlackRock.     

Justin Hamill represents clients in a range of complex corporate matters, with a focus on high-value M&A and private equity deals. He has substantial experience across a broad array of industries, including media, sports, and entertainment, as well as technology, financial services, consumer products, healthcare, and real estate. Business Insider highlights Hamill’s recent representation of Silver Lake in its acquisition of live entertainment and ticketing company TEG among his notable recent deals.
