Firm Again Ranked Among the Top Antitrust Practices Globally
Latham & Watkins repeated its record-setting showing in the annual Who’s Who Legal: Competition’s ranking of the world’s top antitrust practitioners, earning recognition for 36 partners, counsel and associates across the US and Europe. Each year, Who’s Who Legal compiles its “comprehensive guide to the leading competition and state aid lawyers and economists around the world” via direct recommendations from clients and peers, as well as through its own in-depth research.
Reflecting the broad geographic footprint and extensive capabilities for which the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice is renowned, the latest edition of Who’s Who Legal: Competition includes attorneys from ten Latham offices across five countries, and who specialize in the most critical antitrust disciplines: merger control, abuse of dominance cases, cartel investigations, state aid matters and high-stakes antitrust litigation.
The following were honored in this year’s Competition guide:
- In Europe: Brussels partners Héctor Armengod, Luca Crocco, Marc Hansen, Lars Kjølbye, Jean Paul Poitras, and Sven Völcker; Düsseldorf partner Michael Esser; Frankfurt partner Georg Weidenbach; London partner Jonathan Parker; Madrid partner José María Jiménez Laiglesia; and Paris partner Jacques-Philippe Gunther. Brussels partner Elisabetta Righini and Jacques-Philippe Gunther were both recognized in the separate State Aid category of the guide. Former partner Howard Rosenblatt also made the list.

Former associate Alessio Aresu was also ranked.
