January 21, 2020
Communications Group honored by Law360 for prominent work on regulatory, transactional, finance, and litigation matters.

In honor of Latham’s continued success across a variety of telecommunications matters, Law360 named the firm a 2019 Telecommunications Group of the Year. The recognition celebrates the firm’s Communications Law Practice and Communications/Connectivity Industry Group.

In the firm’s published profile, Law360 recognized Latham’s work on major transactions, novel litigation, and pressing policy issues. Noted matters ranged from the firm’s work on T-Mobile’s pending merger with Sprint last year, to advising clients on hot button issues such as net neutrality, and acting as a leading advocate for clients who hope to return the Telephone Consumer Protection Act to a more rational regime.

In talking to Law360, Matthew Brill, Global Chair of the Communications Law Practice “showcased the cohort’s collaborative talent,” noting that Latham can “provide assistance across different groups, different geographies, and really play to our strengths.”

Accordingly, the accolade highlighted the breadth of services the firm regularly provides to the world’s largest and best-known industry players. The group draws from across the firm’s global network of offices in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia and is consistently ranked in the top tier of telecommunications, broadcast and satellite practices.
