Boston Associate Recognized By Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

July 27, 2020
Allison Lukas Turner honored with Up & Coming Lawyer award for legal excellence.

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly has featured Boston associate Allison Lukas Turner in its “Excellence in the Law” program as an Up & Coming Lawyer. The publication characterizes recipients of this award as “the rising stars of the field – Massachusetts attorneys who have been members of the bar for 10 years or less, but who have already distinguished themselves” according to the publication.

Turner’s practice focuses on products liability, consumer protection, and complex commercial litigation, with experience in trade secret and government investigations work. She is a go-to-lawyer for managing multifaceted discovery phases, overseeing associate teams, and assisting first- and second-chair lawyers on lengthy, complex trials. Turner represents a variety of pro bono clients, including ongoing work with the New England Innocence Project to overturn a client’s wrongful murder conviction. Turner recently served as a Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Parent Lawyers Group and is past local leader of both the Parent and Women Lawyers Groups. She is an integral member of the steering committee for the Boston office’s Multicultural Promotion and Attainment Coalition and serves on the firm’s Recruiting Committee. Outside of Latham, Turner is on the board of a local non-profit working to bring early childhood parenting education classes to under-served communities in and around Boston.

In her profile, Turner shared the importance of being disciplined in an over-connected digital age: “With so many deadlines and emails and small tasks on your plate each day, you have to be very disciplined about setting aside time to think big picture, delve deeper, and find your flow.”
