Latham & Watkins To Add Experienced Finance Counsel in Madrid
Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Luis Sánchez Méndez will join the firm’s Madrid office as counsel in the Finance Department. Sánchez Méndez’s practice focuses on advising creditors and debtors on a variety of complex domestic and international financings and restructuring matters.
He has significant experience advising on leveraged buyouts, margin loans and corporate finance, real estate finance, direct lending and acquisition financing matters. He also regularly advises on complex restructuring matters, and counsels distressed debt funds on the analysis and acquisition of non-performing loans (NPLs).

Sánchez Méndez joins the firm from Allen & Overy. He graduated from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a degree in Law, and also received a degree in International Business at the European Business School in Madrid.
