Latham Wins Restructuring Team and Restructuring Deal of The Year at IFLR’s Sub-Saharan Africa Awards 2020

The firm is recognized for its restructuring work in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Latham & Watkins has been honored as Restructuring Team of the Year and also won Restructuring Deal of The Year at International Financial Law Review’s inaugural 2020 IFLR Sub-Saharan Africa awards.

The restructuring deal of the year was awarded for Latham’s work advising Savannah Petroleum plc in respect of its investment in, and acquisition of, the Seven Energy group.

The IFLR awards recognize legal innovation in cross-border transactions. The announcement follows months of research and careful deliberation by the editors and IFLR journalists that make up the internal judging panel.
