Two Partners Honored as California Trailblazers
Two Latham & Watkins partners have been named California Trailblazers in an annual report by The Recorder (American Lawyer Media) that spotlights select lawyers as “truly agents of change… who have made significant marks on the practice, policy and technological advancement of their practice.”
Andrew Gass, a litigation and trial partner in the firm’s Connectivity, Privacy & Information Practice, was recognized for his cutting-edge copyright practice that focuses on music and software licensing, particularly his ongoing representation of music streaming services in landmark litigation. His published profile also noted that “he helped write federal legislation that changes copyright protections for music recorded before 1972, part of the Music Modernization Act.”
Vicki Marmorstein, a finance partner in the Structured Finance & Securitization Practice, was cited for being “in the solution business” for sophisticated structured financing transactions across asset classes.
