Latham & Watkins Advises Searchlight Capital Partners in US$3.4 Billion Fund Formation

Members of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice advised Searchlight on its third fund.
Searchlight Capital Partners, L.P. (Searchlight or the Firm), a leading global private investment firm, has announced the final close of Searchlight Capital III, L.P., with total committed capital of US$3.4 billion. This is the third private equity fund the firm has raised since it was founded in 2010.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Searchlight in the fund formation with an Investment Funds team led by New York partner Andrea Schwartzman, with associates Oliver Prakash-Jenkins, Rita Astoor, and John Welling. Advice was also provided on tax matters by New York partner Gregory Hannibal, with associate Valentin Riazanov, and on benefits and compensation matters by Washington, D.C. partner Adam Kestenbaum.
