Nineveh Alkhas and Benjamin Rosemergy recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business for professional accomplishments, pro bono service, and commitment to community.

Crain’s Chicago Business has named Chicago partners Nineveh Alkhas and Benjamin Rosemergy — members of Latham’s Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits Practice — to its 2023 Notable Leaders in Employment & Labor Law list. Chosen by Crain’s editors, the inaugural list recognizes Chicago’s top employment and labor lawyers for their professional achievements, leadership, and dedication to mentoring and civic/community service initiatives.

Nineveh Alkhas advises private equity funds and public and private companies on labor and employment matters in connection with sophisticated M&A and other corporate transactions, capitalizing on her employment litigation and counseling experiences to assess risks and strategize with respect to all labor and employment matters implicated in deals. As highlighted in her published profile in Crain’s, Alkhas has represented clients on labor and employment matters in several multibillion-dollar transactions over the last year, including Endeavor’s US$21 billion merger of Ultimate Fighting Championship with World Wrestling Entertainment and Tapestry’s pending US$8.5 billion acquisition of Capri. Alkhas works closely with the Chicago chapter of the national non-profit organization Friends of the Children, providing pro bono advice on all aspects of the employment relationship.

Benjamin Rosemergy advises private equity funds and public and private companies on the executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of sophisticated corporate transactions, including M&A, restructurings, joint ventures, and spin-offs. He also advises funds, companies, executives, and management teams on executive compensation matters. As highlighted in his published profile in Crain’s, Rosemergy recently represented Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, Webhelp, and L’Oréal in connection with high-profile multibillion dollar deals. Rosemergy advised the Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice, pro bono, on employee benefits matters in connection with its January 2023 merger with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. He is an active supporter and former member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago-based organization Legal Council for Health Justice.
