Latham Named a Leading Foreign Law Firm in Korea by Asia Business Law Journal
Asia Business Law Journal has honored Latham & Watkins as a Best Foreign Law Firm for Korea-related work in its 2024 Korea Law Firm Awards.
The award series recognizes Latham as one of the leading international law firms operating in the Korean market. Asia Business Law Journal named Latham among its winners for the firm’s successes in handling large-scale, cross-border transactions and disputes for Korean clients. The publication praised Latham’s leading capital markets and M&A practices, recognizing the firm’s work advising Hyundai Motor India on its US$3.3 billion IPO, and LG Display on a series of transactions to dispose of its interest in LG Display (China) and LG Display (Guangzhou).
The accolade marks the second time Latham has been named to the Best Foreign Law Firms list. According to Asia Business Law Journal, the awards program is based on “votes, references and qualitative information received from in-house counsel and other legal professionals in Korea and around the world,” alongside independent research conducted by the publication’s editorial team.
