Latham & Watkins Advises Chestnut Carbon in Long-Term Agreement With Microsoft

Chestnut Carbon, a nature-based carbon removal developer, has announced a new long-term offtake agreement to provide Microsoft with high-quality, nature-based carbon removal derived entirely from Chestnut’s ARR project located in the Southern United States, including Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Chestnut Carbon in the transaction with a deal team led by Los Angeles counsel Michael Dreibelbis and New York partner Peyton Worley, with associates Qingyi Pan* and Phil Goldberg. Advice was also provided on finance matters by New York retired partner Larry Safran; and on disputes matters by New York counsel Santiago Bejarano.
