Latham & Watkins Advises Cipher Mining in US$50 Million PIPE Investment From SoftBank Group

Multidisciplinary team represents Cipher in transaction supporting HPC data center development.

Cipher Mining Inc. (NASDAQ:CIFR) announced a US$50 million investment from SoftBank Group Corp. (TSE: 9984), one of the world’s most prominent investment holding companies. The US$50 million PIPE investment will support Cipher’s HPC data center development business and establish SoftBank as a significant primary investor in Cipher.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Cipher in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Chicago M&A partners Christopher Drewry and Sean Parish and San Diego M&A partner Ann Buckingham, with associates Jack DeMeulenaere and Henna Jalal, and London capital markets partner David Stewart.
