Latham & Watkins has been recognized by Variety in its annual Legal Impact Report, which highlights the top attorneys in Hollywood excelling in substantial deal negotiations and complex dispute litigation. In the 2025 Legal Impact Report, Marvin Putnam is honored individually, alongside Jessica Stebbins Bina, Rob Ellison, Michael Reiss, and Laura Washington, who are featured as a team for their exceptional contributions to the entertainment industry. 

Putnam, Global Co-Chair of the Entertainment, Sports & Media Industry Group, is recognized for his sharp litigation acumen and behind-the-scenes strategies that help clients avoid costly public disputes, including defending Netflix in defamation lawsuits related to Baby Reindeer and the film No Limit, Endeavor in a breach-of-implied-contract dispute related to its US$10 billion IPO, and various producers and broadcasters in the “Scandoval” backlash.
