Finance Partner Named Among San Diego’s “50 Influential Leaders”

The San Diego Daily Transcript has named Robert Frances, San Diego partner and Chairman of the office's Finance Department, among “50 Influential Leaders” in the city for playing a major role in the development of several major projects in San Diego. The publication annually honors cutting-edge work by San Diego lawyers and business professionals in real estate, construction, development, law, finance and the public sector. 

Frances has worked on a number of San Diego’s most iconic projects in the entertainment, sports, hospitality, and service industries. To name just a few, he represented the San Diego Padres and JMI Realty in the land assemblage, financing and development of Petco Park and other aspects of the 26-block Ballpark District. Frances was also involved in the financing and development of the Omni San Diego Hotel and Kimpton Solamar Hotel downtown, as well as the refinancing of the Lodge at Torrey Pines. He has been active in development transactions relating to San Diego’s medical and biotechnology sector, including Palomar Pomerado Health District's new hospital in Escondido, in addition to a headquarters and research and development facility for Ionis Pharmaceuticals Inc. 

As a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation, Frances continues to promote the city’s growth and progress for the future.
