Latham Adds Prominent Partner to its Highly Regarded Restructuring & Special Situations Practice in London

Arrival of Bruce Bell adds substantial expertise to the firm’s leading global practice.

Latham & Watkins1 is pleased to announce that Bruce Bell will join the London office as a partner in the Finance Department and the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice. Bell advises companies, sponsors, and financial institutions on complex financing, restructuring, and insolvency matters.

He has extensive expertise in the application of debt restructuring tools to large cross border corporate and financing structures, with a focus on the use of schemes of arrangement both in England and in other common law jurisdictions such as Bermuda and Hong Kong.

Bell has particular recent experience advising debtors in financial difficulty and their boards of directors across a range of jurisdictions, including in the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. He also regularly counsels major UK companies on a variety of general banking and finance matters.

Bell joins Latham & Watkins from Linklaters. He graduated from Cambridge University in 1994 and was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1998.

Bell is the latest partner to join Latham’s leading global Restructuring & Special Situations Practice during the last 12 months, following the arrival of Jessica Walker in London, George Klidonas and Suzzanne Uhland in New York, and Alexandra Bigot in Paris.
