Finance Partner Named Among Iberia's Most Outstanding Lawyers

Madrid partner Fernando Colomina Nebreda, Local Department Chair of Latham’s Finance Department in Madrid, has been named Banking & Finance Lawyer of the Year at Iberian Lawyer’s 2019 40 Under Forty Awards. 

Iberian Lawyer honored Colomina for leading “one of the most prominent legal teams in the Spanish finance industry.” He was also praised for his excellent work advising “major domestic and international financial institutions and corporations on a number of market-leading financial transactions.” Colomina regularly represents banks, other financial institutions, and corporate borrowers and issuers in a wide range of banking, finance, refinancing, and restructuring transactions. 

Madrid corporate counsels Ana González-Linares and Ignacio Dominguez were also shortlisted as Lawyer of the Year finalists in the M&A and Private Equity categories. 

The seventh annual Iberian Lawyer awards welcomed more than 400 guests, spotlighting the most exceptional legal talent in Spain and Portugal. The awards were judged by a panel of 60 independent individuals in the Iberian legal market, including lawyers, international advisors, and academics.
